Benson, NC: Mr. Eustace V. Allen, age 94, of Ivey Road passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at The Carrolton of Dunn. Funeral Services will be held-3:00 PM Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Allen was born on December 11, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Valton B. and Nicey Elizabeth Ivey Allen. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kristen Paige Allen; sister, Merle Allen Thornhill; and brother, Samuel Durwood Allen. He was a farmer most of his life and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Allen was a man of few words who loved to play cards, especially Rook and Spades, he loved to hunt, loved his daughter Kathy’s dog “Brandi”, and loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was a member of Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church and a member of the American Legion Banner Post 109 in Benson. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Emma Lee Phipps Allen; son, Randy Lynn Allen and wife, Vicky of Benson; daughter, Kathy Allen Raynor and husband, Danny of Benson; grandchildren, Eric Scott Allen and wife, Kristen, Ethan Daniel Raynor and friend, Kathryn, Kerry Allen Taylor and husband, Tyler, and Braxton Taylor Raynor; great grandchildren, Gracelyn Taylor, Delilah Taylor, Beckett Allen, Declan Allen, and Maddox Taylor; brother, Gerald B. Allen and wife, Charlotte; sister-in-law, Ann Register Allen; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Randy and Vicky Allen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church at 1771 NC-50 S. Benson, NC 27504.
