Eva Chilton, 86, of Heltonville passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 4:07pm at her residence. Born January 2, 1939, in Heltonville she was the daughter of Homer Harrison Peters and Eva Ann (Helton) Peters. Eva married Robert Donald Chilton on May 23, 1958, and he passed away on May 13, 1999.
Eva was of the Christian faith. She was a graduate of Heltonville High School with the class of 1957. She retired from NWSC Crane.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Eva are her three sons, Donald (Michelle) Chilton, Ronnie (Robyn) Chilton, and Ralph Chilton; one daughter, Constance Bailey; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Eva in death are her parents, Homer Harrison Peters and Eva Ann (Helton) Peters; ten brothers and sisters, and one daughter in law, Lisa Chilton.
Funeral services for Eva will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 1:00pm at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford. Burial will follow at Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 1:00pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
Memorial donations in memory of Eva may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
