Eva Glenn Cook

Eva G. Cook, age 84, passed away peacefully in her home on August 24, 2024. Born November 4, 1939, in Repton, Alabama, Eva was a loyal Navy wife of nearly fifty years, a teachers' assistant that loved her students dearly, and a devout Christian and former member of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church.
Eva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved nothing more than to visit with her family and grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her mother, B. Eulene Blackmon, her father, Fred W. Downing, her husband of nearly fifty years, Edward D. Cook, her grandson, Chance E. Cook, and her brother, Danny J. Blackmon.
Eva is survived by her children, Sherrie L. Cook, Michael R. Cook, Bret A. (Teresa) Cook, her grandchildren Valerie Cook, Christopher Cook, Brittany (Cale) Scott, Ashley (Tyler) Miller, Alex (Liz) Cook, Ryan Cook, and Bryce Cook, her great grandchildren Ryann Oswalt, Riley Scott, Maddox Miller, Abby Cook, and Savannah Miller.
As we celebrate Eva's incredible life, we find solace in knowing she is at peace, embraced by the love of God. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
A visitation will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, on September 4, 2024 at 9:00 a.m for family and 9:30 am. for friends. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am with a graveside service to follow at 11:00 am at Barancas National Cemetery. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
