Eva Nell Fairley

Eva Nell Shepheard Fairley, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2026. She was born December 24, 1947 to the late Charlie Washington and the late Hattie Mae Ware Walker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, CL Fairley; beloved daughter, Melisa Copeland; parents, Charley and Hattie Ware Walker; two sisters, Ruthie Mae Haile and Hazel Reese; three brothers, Gerald Walker, James Walker and Robert Ed Walker; four half-sisters, Maggie Yates, Ola Mae Sanders, Clara McNair, and Virginia Dale; two half-brothers, Solomon Walker and Joseph Nevel Walker.

She leaves behind one surviving daughter, Teresa McManus; grandchildren, Shana Wells, Sharon (Ernesto) Romero, Shannon (Libby) Foskitt, Cheri (Chris) Buckhalter, Britney Cochrane, Jade (Steve) Ganz; great grandchildren, Baylee Wells, Noah Wells, Tristen Romero, Scarlett Romero, Addison Foskitt, Lainey Foskitt, Paisley Foskitt, Isabella Ganz and Elizabeth Ganz, each of whom she loved deeply and unconditionally; one sister, Anna Marie Roberts; brother, Thomas Walker.

To her family, she was the heart of generations - a steady presence, a source of wisdom, and a reminder of what it means to love faithfully. Her life touched far beyond what words can measure, and her memory will continue to live on in the stories, traditions, and faith she passed down.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Movella Missionary Baptist Church, 175 Movella Church Road Lucedale MS 39452.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Movella Missionary Baptist Church, 175 Movella Church Road Lucedale MS 39452.
