Eva Elizabeth Pike, 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 9, 1936, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, the cherished daughter of Baine and Lula (Prewitt) Phillips.
Eva was married to Elmer Lee Pike on January 22, 1971, in a union filled with love and companionship. She graduated from Manual High School and dedicated over 25 years of her career to serving customers at Marsh grocery stores, embodying the spirit of kindness and service that defined her professional life.
Upon retiring, Eva treasured every moment spent with her family, attending countless sporting events and school performances to cheer on her loved ones. Her passion for travel and the time she shared with family and friends brought her immense joy, especially during her delightful visits with "Superman," a heartfelt nickname shared among those close to her.
In addition to her parents, Eva was proceeded in death by her siblings, her beloved husband and her son, Richard L Roberts Jr. Eva is survived by her devoted family, daughter-in-law, Barbara (wife of Richard) with 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 8 great, great grandchildren; daughter, Debra (Carey) Herring with, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Teeters with, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; daughter, Lisa Schaf with 1 grandchild; daughter, Sandra Johnson with 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; and son, Randall Pike with, 1 grandchild, 2 great grandchildren.
A gathering will be held on March 1, 2025, 1 - 3 PM at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. A Memorial Service in honoring Eva’s remarkable life commencing at 3:00 PM the same day. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the love and legacy she leaves behind.
Eva Elizabeth Pike will be forever remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the deep love she had for her family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
