Eva "Jane" Quigno, 92, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at White Oaks Assisted Living surrounded by family.
Jane was born on September 29, 1933, to Ralph and Julia (Armstrong) Jarvis in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She attended and graduated from New Market (Indiana) High School. Jane married Malcolm Scott in 1952, and was soon busy raising her two sons, Mike and Monte. Jane and Mal moved to Paw Paw, Michigan in 1964, as Mal found work in the area. Once Mike and Monte were in school, Jane worked for the Van Buren County District Court. She later worked for the 9th District Court in Portage as the court administrator, where she retired in 1994.
Later in life, Jane married Joe Quigno. They were married for 19 happy years before his passing. Jane loved and enjoyed the entire Quigno family-children and grandchildren.
Jane loved to be around people. She was a giving person, a friend and a helper. She was very independent and strong. Jane had a deep faith and love for our Lord and Savior, attending the First Christian Church in Paw Paw every Sunday morning. Jane volunteered at The Closet in Paw Paw and for Paw Paw Senior Services. She enjoyed knitting blankets, playing cards, gardening, and especially loved to see and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her son, Michael (Patricia) Scott of Battle Creek; two brothers, Wilbert "Butch" Jarvis and Ray (Cindi) Jarvis; grandchildren, Christopher (Ellyn) Scott of Chaska, Minnesota and Jeffrey (Hope) Scott of Battle Creek; Sarah (Joel) Scott of Kalamazoo and Matthew (Kirsten) Scott of Williamsburg, Michigan. Her eight great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Everly, and Margaret; Emry, Cora, and Max; and Hudson and Henry.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joe Quigno; son, Lamont Scott; sisters, Harriet Anderson and Mary Jo Harmon, and a brother Hershel Jarvis.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in May. Please check back for more details.
The family would like to thank the staff at White Oaks Assisted Living and Centrica Care Navigators for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church, 119 N. Niles Street, Paw Paw, MI 49079, or Centrica Care Navigators Hospice, 7100 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
