Eva Gail Wilson, of Albany, GA, passed away at the age of 70 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Mathews Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.
Born on October 6, 1954, in Terrell County, GA, to the late Theo and Bessie Giles. Gail spent many fulfilling years working as a receptionist at Myers Dental Office, where her engaging personality created a welcoming atmosphere for all patients. Outside of her professional career, she had many hobbies that she enjoyed, her love for reading, immersing herself in crime shows, westerns on television, and playing games on her phone, creating moments of joy and relaxation in her life.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, William “Billy” Wilson of Albany, GA., daughter Carmen Miller (Cory) of Summerville, SC, and her son Christopher Wilson (Kenneth Bridges) of Atlanta, GA. Her grandchildren, Skylar Tison, Allie Miller, and Jaxon Miller, her siblings, Jan Weathersby and Billie Hall (Randy), sister and brother in law Jim and Sandy Ellis. Gail shared her home with her two beloved pets, Polyester and Mary.
Visitation will be held at Mathews Funeral Home in Albany, GA, on January 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the National Mutiple Sclerosis Society.
