In Loving Memory of Evan Michael Jensen
With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Evan Michael Jensen, who left us far too soon on August 3, 2025, at the age of 19. Evan was a cherished son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew him.
Evan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse Jensen and Darcie Gould, Bruce Cameron; and Aunt Desiree Hawthorne.
He is survived by his loving parents, mother, Jamie Jensen, and her husband, Justin Herbst; his father, Christopher Jensen; and his sisters, Lacy, Jorrianna, and McKenna. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Laura and Tony Storbakken, and great-grandparents, Robert and Fern Kelly, as well as Sharon Cameron and Aunt Kathy Bennett. Uncle Bryan and Aunt Jena Hartley, Uncle Patrick and Ashley Valentine, Uncle Ryan and Aunt Amy Kelly, Aunt Taylor Dahl and numerous loving cousins and family members.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Evan also called the Gulf Coast of Mississippi home. He worked with dedication and pride at the local shipyard, where he was a longshoreman (#1303); his strong work ethic and commitment stood out. Outside of work, Evan embraced life with energy and passion—whether lifting weights, fishing, practicing MMA, exploring the beach, or lending a helping hand to those he loved. Evan "The Pitbull" fought for the Gulf Coast Gloves, where he had an impressive record of victories. He ranked #173 out of 248 fighters for all Time in the Southern Hands Slugfest rankings.
Evan was a devoted older brother to his three sisters, always offering protection, encouragement, laughter, and love. His playful nature brought joy to every room he entered, and his contagious laughter will be deeply missed.
Evan was deeply loved and will be forever remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering loyalty to his family and friends.
