Evan Stanford Jones, embraced the wonders of Heaven on the 20th of October, 2025, at the young age of 25. Born on September 18, 2000, to the proud parents Martha "Lisa" Mullins Jones and the late Larry S. Jones II, Evan's charismatic presence quickly became a ray of joy in the lives of those who knew him.
Married to, Laura Katherine Weisbrodt Jones, he was an adoring father to their beloved son, Waylon Duke Jones. In addition to his immediate family, Evan was a cherished brother to Alex (Lily Atchison) Jones and Liam Jones; a beloved nephew to aunts Laura (Bart) Morse, Deborah Mitchell, Bridgette Shaw, Donna Miller; and uncle Danny Bill Reynolds. His maternal grandparents, Terry and Donna Martin, alongside great aunt and uncles Sharon (Chip) Marshall, Mike Jones, and Herbie (Erika) Stevens, held dear the memory of his energy and spirit. Evan was dearly loved by his special extended family, Cali (Josh) Hammond, Addison, Aubree, Stevie Hammond, and Josh Marshall, as well as numerous cousins and friends who found kinship in his genuine and vivacious character.
Evan's work family at AT&T knew him as a dedicated employee, and attended Central Church in Georgetown, KY. A man of many passions, Evan found pleasure and spirit in fishing, the quiet patience of hunting, the excitement of shooting guns, and the creative outlet that came with playing the drums. Additionally, his love for music translated beautifully into his talent for rhythm, and an enthusiasm for cars filled many of his cherished moments.
Described by those who loved him as loving, kind, and funny, Evan never failed to bring laughter and light into the room. His radiant smile and quick wit could uplift any spirit, and his profound kindness had the power to change the course of any day for the better. Evan's legacy is enriched by a life filled with sincere friendships and deep connections with those around him, fostering memories that will be treasured for lifetimes.
Predeceased by his father, Larry S. Jones II, paternal grandparents Larry and Cathy Jones, and uncle David Stevens, his departure from this earth is not the end but rather a transition to eternal life, where family and friends believe he is reuniting with loved ones lost.
As the sun sets on a life that, though brief, was beautifully and fervently lived, we find solace knowing that Evan Stanford Jones left an indelible imprint of love and joy on the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. His story is a poignant reminder of the fragility and beauty of life, and his memory will continue to inspire love and laughter in the years to come.
