Ev was a proud graduate in Portugal and received his GED from James H. Grove. One of his proudest accomplishments was receiving his pilot's license and purchasing his own plane. His other hobbies were wine making, fishing and hunting in Pennsylvania. Raised pheasants to be released into the wild. He was employed as a body and fender tech at Ellis Auto Body for 16 years. And spent 16 years at Winner Ford and retired.
Ev married his beloved wife, Mary Ann Fortino in Penns Grove, NJ, and they shared a life filled with laughter. He was a devoted husband, father brother, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, of 58 years; his Son, Daniel De Oliveira; his granddaughter, Gillian De Oliveira. He is survived by three sisters; Celeste Sousa, Delores Michael and Lucy Koenig. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A viewing will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday November 25th, 2025, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Delaware 19904.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday November 25th, 2025, at The Church of Holy Cross, 631 S. State Street, Dover, Delaware 19901.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Dementia Society of America.
