Evelyn M. Booker, 84, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Medical Center, Davenport.
Private services will be held with burial at Rock Island National Cemetery.
The former Evelyn Marie Mosher was born September 4, 1941, in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of George Ernest and Mildred (Hunt) Mosher. She married the love of her life, Carl E. Booker, in 1963. He passed away on July 26, 1996.
She worked in several capacities over the years at Miller Container, Burke Cleaners, and in the home health care field. She was a longtime member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Moline.
Evelyn enjoyed reading, sending cards to family and friends, and had a sweet tooth for ice cream.
Survivors include her daughters, Kim Booker and Brenda (Robert) Gillman; two grandchildren; Pam Corry and Nancy Pulfrey, who were just like daughters to Evelyn; as well as Pam’s children, Jamie, Jennifer, and Christie Correy, and Olivia Heisner, who Evelyn loved like a great-granddaughter; her brother, James Leidig; her best friend, Judy Zeiser; and her other daughter, Carla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; her brother, Jerry Leidig; and her loving cat, Victoria.
