October 1, 1926 - September 3, 2024
Evelyn passed peacefully in her home in Bodega close to her beloved bar. Preceded in death by her Husband Arthur, son Wayne and other treasured family members. She is survived by her daughter Marlene (John), son Artie (Linda), grandchildren Johnny (Brandi), Brad and her cherished great granddaughter, Rachael along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation, Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary-Sebastopol, from 11 am to 6 pm at which time there will be a Vigil Service. Funeral Mass, Monday, 10 am at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Bodega.

I first met Evelyn in the 1980´s when a rancher friend brought me to the Casino for a beer and burger.
She served them up with homegrown tomatoes from her garden. From then on whenever I visited she called me "teacher girl"
I sat at her bar everytime I passed through Bodega and basked in her welcoming presence. Brought many a friend and family to the Casino over the years. She was the pulse of Bodega town. Farewell sweet lady. You made our world better.

Evie made me a better person . Her love & light spreading throughout Bodega & beyond . She was someone you treasure and hold close to your heart. Fond memories of her establishment. Eating , drinking ,music , love and laughter. She let folks gather in the bad times and the good times . And yes there were weddings , birthdays , anniversaries and so much more. Evie wanted to spread joy and she did in a big way . No one can compare . Rest in peace beautiful lady . Amen.

I shared many times in the casino from the time I was 16 years old until present 56 years.
Evelyn always greeted me with a smile .
I will miss her dearly Lots of love
And prayers to her family.
