"Beloved wife, aunt & friend"
Evelyn Mae (Daniels) Dederick, 85, of Middlebury, was reunited with both of her sons in heaven on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Harold L. "Skip" Dederick Jr. for over fifty-five years.
Evelyn was born in Waterbury on October 20, 1939, a daughter to the late William J. and Anna H. (Lasky) Daniels. A lifelong resident of Middlebury, she attended Waterbury Catholic High School, graduating in 1957. For many years, Evelyn worked in Medical Records at Waterbury Hospital. She was a longtime member of Compassionate Friends and enjoyed spending time caring for her flower garden and pets.
Besides her beloved husband, Skip, of Middlebury, Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory two sisters-in-law, Karen Kowalski (Hank) and Dorothy Daniels, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons, Alan H. Dederick, Randall W. Dederick, as well as her brother, William A. Daniels.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at St. John of the Cross Church, Middlebury. A private burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours for Evelyn will be held Sunday afternoon, March 2,d 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial, the Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.

It is with deep sorrow that we note the passing of Evie! So many memories of family get togethers . Our hearts go out to Skip and pray that God gives him the strength to carry on ! Although it is impossible for us to attend , we hope all realize the entire Arizona family will be at the service in mind and soul! May God shine his perpetual light upon Evie , Alan , and Randy .
