Evelyn Dollar Dillon

Evelyn Jenice "Neicey" Dillon made her final journey on May 16, 2021 at the age of 79. She was a native of Pinebluff, Arkansas and a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana for over 50 years.
Neicey fell in love with Kenneth Dillon at first sight, and that love has been strong and committed for 55 years. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kenneth; daughter, Kim Owens (Steve) and son Kenneth Jr.; grandchildren, Heather, Savannah, Tiffany and Dillon; great-grandchildren, Khloe and Wyatt; sister, Kathie Dollar Banford (Bob); and brothers, Larry Dollar(Laurie) and Randy Dollar (Denell). She was preceded in death by her parents Clara Evelyn and William Monroe Dollar and her sister Pattie Bearden.
There was not a person more precious than our Neicey. She was a homemaker for many years, a wonderful cook and seamstress. In her later life she worked and retired from South Highland Elementary School as Cafeteria Manager. All the kids LOVED Mrs. Dillon! Most important in her life was her faith in Jesus Christ. She was very active in her church First Assembly of God, now Shreveport Community Church. She was a trusted, faithful, caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was beloved to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held from 10am to 11am on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 with a funeral beginning at 11 am. All services will be held at Osborn Funeral Home. Burial will begin at 1:00pm on May 26th at the Northwest Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, La. 71047.
Pallbearers will be Cody Adams, Cody Dollar, Gilbert Hayes, Nathan Hayes, Gary Melville and Hunter Goff.
Officiating will be Brian Opbroek, Pastor at Shreveport Community Church and someone Neicey loved very much.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shreveport Community Church for The Wise and Wonderful Group and Alzheimer's Association.
