Evelyn J. Ehredt, age 27, of Clinton, IA, was taken from us far too soon on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at University of Iowa Hospital, in Iowa City, IA. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Law Jones Funeral Home, in Savanna, IL, at 4pm. Visitation will take place from 2pm to 4pm that day. Following the service, all will be invited to a memorial luncheon at the American Legion in Thomson, IL.
Evie was born February 19, 1994, in Iowa City, the daughter of Ronald "RJ" Jensen and Margaret Ehredt. She grew up in Clinton, and attended Clinton schools. Currently, she was working toward a future in criminal justice through online college courses. Her dream was to one day work for the FBI.
Evie was a smart woman who no doubt was on the way to accomplishing a great deal in life. In fact, she was just as smart as a little girl. In kindergarten she figured out that if you vomited on school grounds, you were sent home for 24 hours; well, she used her allergic reaction to fruit punch a few too many times for her own good, that year!
Evie will be best remembered as a wonderful mother who loved her children and her family dearly. She was at her happiest playing games, baking cookies, and making arts and crafts with her kids and always enjoyed her time with family. In her free time she found joy in drawing, listening to music, and taking pictures. She could always be counted on to make family photo albums and photo-related crafts.
Evie will be dearly missed by her children, Aaligha, Carter, Aubrianna, Kairi, and Tenebris; parents, Margaret (Tom) Spittler and RJ (Bobbie) Jensen; siblings, Shawn Oderwald, Jr., Dakota (Amber) Oderwald, Laura (Chetan) Khulla, Kezra Harbron, Landon (Brandon) Oderwald, Donovan Armstrong, and Wyatt Becker; grandparents, Juanita (Jimmy) Arp and Roni (Dan) Mitchell; great grandmother, Crystal Ehredt; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Evie is preceded in death by her son, Rikku Andersen; sisters, Dakota Ehredt and Hope Oderwald; grandparents, Joe Ehredt, Keith (Denise) Jensen, and Vicky Bumphrey; great-grandmother, Grace Whitten; great-aunt, Kathy Utley; and cousin, Emma Galloway.
