Evelyn "Ev"Alice Schwarze Connors

Evelyn “Ev” Alice Schwarze Connors, 94, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 20, 1929, to the late Henry George Schwarze and Emma Louise Bibra Schwarze. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Philip Connors; brother, Henry Schwarze; sisters, Dorothy Kuck and Emily Pierson; and son in law, Danny Wilson.

Ev was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church where she was involved in the Women’s Group. She was also a member of the Elks BPOE 2406, the Lake Sewing Club and served for many years as a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Lake.

She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Phipps and husband, James and Bonnie Connors Wilson; grandchildren, Gregory Phipps and wife, Mallory, Robert Phipps, Wendy Wilson, Dustin Wilson and Tammy and Jeremy Wilson; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Spring Oak Assisted Living- Elks National Home, for the special care they gave to Evelyn. 

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Sharon Jones officiating. Inurnment will follow at The Elks Cemetery.
