Evelyn Barbara Evans

Evelyn Barbara Evans of Warwick, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. She was 93 years old. Born February 19, 1919, in Channing, MI, she was the daughter of Olga Lena (Miller) Willard and Sidney L Willard. Evelyn lived in Pearl River, NY from 1962 until she moved to Warwick in 2007. Evelyn was Personnel Director for Avildsen Tools and Machines, New York, NY, for more than 20 years and retired as Personnel Director for New York Twist Drill, Ramsey NJ, at age 71. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed walking, quilting and reading. She had just finished reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Evans, and her daughter, Patricia Evans, and is survived by her daughter, Denise Evans and her husband Dom Busnelli of Florida and her son David Evans and his wife Keisya of Monroe; grandchildren Christopher, Kayla, Alex, and Dale; sisters, Janette Lindeman and Sarah Lada of MI, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
