Evelyn "MawMaw" Wanda Fisher, 63, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home after a courageous fight with cancer. Born on July 29, 1962, in Rockville, MD, Evelyn lived a life defined by strength, compassion, and an unwavering love for her family.

She shared a lifelong bond with the father of her children and best friend, Larry Whipkey. Together, they built a family filled with love, devotion, and a deep sense of togetherness.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Michael Whipkey and his fiancée Megan, Christopher Whipkey and his fiancée, Danielle Whipkey, Brandon Whipkey and his wife Janet, Zachary Hicks and his girlfriend Kayden, and Bryant Rogers and his girlfriend Brianna.

Her heart was large enough to welcome and love many others as her own, including Christopher Benton, Jennie Harden, Heather Churchey, Kiley Miller, and countless others who were blessed by her presence and care.

The light of Evelyn's life was her grandchildren-her greatest joy and the source of her strength on even the hardest days. She leaves behind Ashiah (Tinka), Natalie (Punkadunk), Gabriella (Wabbin), Grayson (MasonMan), Morgan (Smorgy), Zahra (Toots), Bryant Jr. (Chunky), Everly Jane, Richard Jr.(ManMan), Adrianna(Sis) Emma, Amir, and Kay'drian. Each of them carried a piece of her heart, and she poured her love into them without limit.

Evelyn was a strong, resilient fighter whose courage inspired everyone who knew her. She had a giving spirit-always willing to help anyone, even when she had little to give. Her selflessness and kindness touched more lives than she ever realized.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate her life at J.L. Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg, MD, on Monday, December 1st, from 6–8 PM.

Evelyn "MawMaw" Fisher will be remembered for her strength, her generosity, and the immeasurable love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the many hearts she touched.
