Evelyn C. Flynn

Evelyn “Lynn” C. Flynn (née Connolly), 90, formerly of Lewes, DE and Havertown, PA passed away on March 14, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Born in Nashville, TN in 1933, she was the beloved daughter of the late Sylvester M. Connolly.

Lynn was the beloved wife, for 70 years, of the late John C. Flynn; loving mother of Mary Beth O’Brien (the late Michael), John C. Flynn Jr. and the late Kevin Flynn (Patricia); devoted grandmother of Tara Baylor (Randy), Sean P. O’Brien (Jennifer), Timothy P. Flynn (Christine), Ryan Flynn (Jennifer) and Shane Flynn; proud great-grandmother of Jackson, Colton, Brielle, Logan and Collin. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lynn was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was the Emily Post of the family and always made sure tables were set and she wrote the best thank you notes. Lynn was always the first one at your door if you needed anything with her infamous mac and cheese or rice pudding in hand to cure all that ailed you. 

A devout Catholic, she volunteered for the prayer line at St. Jude Church in Lewes, DE. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-10:30 AM Saturday, April 13, 2024 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 105 Wilson Ave, Havertown, PA 19083.
