Evelyn Pati Freier, age 79, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. She was born on November 1, 1946, in Layton, Utah, to Emelio Riqua Pati and Teresa Madrid Pati.
Evelyn was married during her life to John Kladis and later to Dale Freier.
She found joy in music, playing games, and especially in spending time with her family and friends. Evelyn will be remembered for her love of togetherness and the simple pleasures that brought people close.
She is survived by her daughter, Pauline R. Kladis; her sister, Anita P. Mata; her brother, Louie Pati; her nephews, Domenick Garcia, Jared Garcia, Jason Pati, and Jeremy Pati; her niece, Stephanie Pati; and her uncle, Paul Martinez.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Teresa M. Pati and Emelio R. Pati, and by her husband, John Kladis.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Memorial Redwood Cemetery immediately following the service.
