It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of our beloved Evelyn Bailey Gendron. She passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66 on September 21st, 2025. Evelyn was born on August 18th, 1959, in Lebanon, Missouri to the late Ilse and Edward Bailey. She grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire and graduated from Nashua High School class of 1977. Evelyn also accomplished obtaining two associates degrees: Information Processing Management & Science of Business Management; all while working full-time. Evelyn flourished in her professional career as an Executive Assistant for the Town of Milford Water & Utilities for 32 years. Evelyn took pride in her strong work ethic and instilled those ethics when raising her children. Dependable, diligent, and dedicated are just a few words that could be used to describe Evelyn.

Evelyn extended her generosity to friends, family, and strangers. She wouldn’t hesitate to pay for a stranger’s groceries, write a resume for a friend, and support her family’s dreams. Her love touched so many lives, and she offered so much positive encouragement to those around her. Every room that she entered lit up with the grace of her radiant smile, beautiful laughter, and captivating dance moves. She loved to dance. For Evelyn, the music not only moved her feet but also her soul. Evelyn made sure that every wallflower felt noticed and loved any time she entered a room. A wise woman once said, “in order to have a great friend, you must first be one”.

Evelyn married the love of her life, Michael L. Gendron, on May 18th, 1984. Evelyn and Michael shared 45 years of love together. Evelyn and Michael bonded over music, nature, and their love for one another. Ev and Mike brought two beautiful daughters into this world in the late 90’s: Bailey Michelle in December of ’94 and Amanda Charlotte in September of ’96. Evelyn is survived by her husband and 2 daughters, Michael, Bailey and Amanda; as well as by her brother, Charlie and his wife Donna Bailey, sister Nancy and her husband Rod Myer, as well as several nephews, one niece, and an entire village of loved ones. Evelyn was a pilar of her family; she was incredibly strong with an incandescent spirit.

Evelyn loved her family beyond words; she would never miss an opportunity to share a story about her husband or two daughters or express how proud she was of their accomplishments. Evelyn shared her warmth and kindness with everyone she met. Evelyn held her personal relationships and connections dear to her heart. She often reminisced on memories of her beloved mother, Ilse. Ilse’s memory was a constant companion, walking alongside her every day. Evelyn believed that our departed loved ones leave signs to those left here on Earth. The tapestry of her life was woven with threads of those she loved. Those of us who loved her will continue to weave our lives’ tapestries with memories of her love and her life.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Please continue to check back for updated service information.
