Evelyn Hediger

Evelyn Hediger, age 92 of Fairborn passed away January 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 20, 1932 in Barnhart, Missouri, the daughter of the late Edwin and Lucille (Steffen) Samnee. Evelyn enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, and spending time with family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son-in-law, Tim Gentile; grandson, Brett Campbell; two sisters, Beverly Wisdom, Leona Mulligan; and brother, Edwin Samnee, Jr. Evelyn is survived by four children, Rosemary (James) Ramsey, Margaret Campbell, Paul (Carol) Hediger, Victoria Gentile (fiancé, Lloyd Caudill); nine grandchildren, Tom (Kathy),Tim, Jennifer, Heather (Phil), Shawn (Michelle), Ashley (D.J.), Shane (Nicole), Haley (Vince), Dakota; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great great-granddaughters; sister, Diana (Tony) Picarella. A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 18, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband, Paul at Byron Cemetery.
