94 of Hope, RI died Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at her home supported by the love and prayers of her devoted family. She was the beloved wife, for 54 years, of the late Salvatore Maggiacomo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria (Panaccione) Serrecchia. She has been a resident of Hope for 22 years, previously making her home in Cranston.
She is survived by her loving sons, Vincent Maggiacomo and his wife Lori and Joseph Maggiacomo and his wife Karen, all of Hope. She was the cherished Nana of Brianna, Aria, Salvatore Maggiacomo, and Gabriella Gencarella, her husband Steven, and a newborn great-granddaughter, Grace Evelyn.
She was the beloved sister of the late Angie Corsi, Anna Souza, Laura Poccia, Anthony Serrecchia and Ida Campagnone.
Evelyn was happiest when she was surrounded by her loving family, particularly at Sunday dinner at her table, traveling to Italy, Aruba, and Florida with her husband, and making unforgettable memories with her children and grandchildren. Her life was a testament of love, faith and loyalty, she will be in our hearts forever.
She was a lifelong and faithful communicate of St. Mary’s Church, Cranston and a devotee of Maria SS della Civita.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Holy Apostles Church 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd. East Providence, RI 02914. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Nardolillo Funeral Home and Crematory, Cranston, RI.
