Evelyn G. Ramey

Evelyn G. Ramey, 68, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and joy. Evelyn was known for her silly humor, her stubborn determination, and her deep kindness that touched everyone around her.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Ramey; Her parents, Mary and Harry Claffey; and her siblings Becky, Sue, Anne, and Ricky, who welcomed her with open arms. Gary Ramey passed away in June of this year. Though her heart never stopped missing him, she carried on with grace and strength. She is survived by children Audrey (Shane Howell); Her grandchildren: Kayli Carlson, Victoria Carlson, Lexi Howell; Great-grandchildren: Asher Mahr; Siblings Alice Schuler, Harry Claffey, Gary Claffey, Michael Claffey.

Evelyn spent her life caring for others. She made you feel truly seen and understood, even when you didn’t have the words. Her love was steady, safe, and unconditional. She always knew how to make you laugh, even in difficult moments, and she was the person many turned to for comfort, advice, or to simply be heard.

Evelyn found happiness in the simple things – crossword puzzles, scratch-offs, and long afternoons of putting together jigsaw puzzles. Fridays were always for pizza, and every New Years Eve she kept her tradition of enjoying White Castle, a ritual that brought the family together year after year.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and everyone who was blessed to know her.

Immediate family will greet friends and family from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, with a funeral service starting at 1pm. A graveside service at Obetz Cemetery will be at 2pm as she is laid to rest.
