Evelyn Strothers

Evelyn Ann Strothers, age 48, of Cherry Hill, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on Tuesday, February 3, 1976 to Freddie Gene and Beverly Ann Little Strothers in Mena, Arkansas.
Most knew her simply as Eve, but to close family she was always Evie. She attended school at Mena and was very active in the FFA. A lifelong love of animals was evident by how she lived. She loved cats. Eve was passionate about many things and all those around her knew what they were. If there was a gathering, several things were for sure: 1) She probably planned it 2) She prepared or bought the food, and 3) she was going to take pictures.
Eve worked for many years at the PCDC. Her love and patience with her clients was exceptional. One of her biggest disappointments was when her health would not allow her to continue working every day with the clients that she loved. As her health continued to decline, Eve was no less enthusiastic about planning birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays, as well as keeping in touch with former coworkers and clients.
Eve is survived by her parents, Freddie and Beverly Strothers of Mena; her two brothers and sister in law, Adam and Davelynn Strothers of Mena, and Matt Strothers of Mena; her aunt, Carla Moore; cousins, Stephanie Moore, and Zack Moore along with many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Eve is also survived by Selana Rodriguez, who was like a sister to her, and Nathaniel Rodriguez, the love of her life. The number of people who Eve loved and cared about and who loved and cared about Eve are too numerous to count.
A memorial graveside service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Eagleton Cemetery in Eagleton, Arkansas with Brother Stacy Strother officiating. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
