James "Eric" Strothers, 46, of Washington, WV, reunited with his mother and father, James and Roberta, in the presence of the Lord on March 13, 2024, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by one daughter, Jolie Strothers; one son, Carter Strothers; one brother, Shawn Strothers; the loving mother of his children, Sabrina Small; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Eric was a devoted father and hard worker. He loved spending time with his children and those special moments gave him the greatest joy of all. He also enjoyed playing video games in his spare time. He was a 1997 graduate of Parkersburg High School.
For the past three years, James worked as an employee at ProFusion Industries in Marietta, Ohio. During his employment there, he established many friendships among both his coworkers and the management team.
In addition to his parents, James Brian Strothers and Roberta Suzanne Strothers Allen, James was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A funeral service to honor his memory will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St. Parkersburg, with Minister David Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Sunday, March 17 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Sabrina Small for the care of their children. Donations may be sent or delivered to Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home.

I met Eric at school and he was a sweet and kind man, he was also a great friend to me. Though we lost contact until recent years he still remained the same sweet guy. I´m so sorry to his family for their loss. I pray God will overshadow you with a peace that passeth all understanding.
