Vaughan-Kimes Funeral Home & CrematoryDavid Beryl Cooper, 72, of Parkersburg, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center.
He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Dorsel Beryl Cooper Jr and Marian Elizabeth Britton Cooper.
David obtained his Bachelor degree in General Science from Muhlenberg College and Master’s degree in Botany from Ohio University. He was an educator for both WVU at Parkersburg and Parkersburg Catholic High School. David was the pianist of the Trillium Piano Trio for 20 years and was a devoted member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
Those remaining to carry his memory include his wife, Carolynne Frances Whitman Cooper; son, Andrew Cooper (Megan); daughter, Rebecca Keiser (Peter); and grandchild, Quinn Marian Cooper.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Beth Kimmel and Amy Sue Cooper.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2026, at The Memorial Church of the Good Shepherd, 903 Charles Street, Parkersburg, with The Reverend Katie Beth Miksa officiating.
