J. Rex Jude, 66 of Vienna, WV, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026 with his wife and daughter by his side at Elison Assisted Living & Memory Care Center in Marietta, OH. He was born in Parkersburg, WV on January 15, 1960, the son of the late James Rex & Helen Starcher Jude.
JR was a 1978 graduate of Parkersburg South High School and retired from Eramet Marietta (formerly Elkem and Union Carbide) in 2024. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Missy Jude; his daughter, Jessica (Joseph) Cozart; his son, James Jude; his daughter, Lindsy Wade and his sister, Beverly Wigal. He is also survived by his grandchildren Blake Cozart, Mikayla Cozart, Kayden Jude, Karder Wade, Graham Righter, Mackenzie Righter, Eliza Righter, Tucker Bradlyn and Cash Bradlyn; nephews Jude (Carley) Windland, John(Kim) Windland and Joe (Shannon) Windland; nieces Heather (Tim) Myers, Amber (Mark) Mayhugh, Pauline (Mike) Clark and Brandi Bush; several great nieces & great nephews and a special cousin, Cindy & Mark Carpenter. He is also survived by Travis (Jaclyn) Righter and Amy (Garrett) Bradlyn.
In addition to his parents, JR was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Mills and his brother-in-law, Keith Wigal.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home in Vienna officiated by Pastor Troy Nesselrode. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Special thanks to Morgen & Tiffany (Amedisys Marietta) and Heather, Karen, Latoya, Josh and the entire memory care unit staff at Elison for their loving and compassionate care of JR.
