Evelyn Marlene "Marlene" Terry

Evelyn Marlene Terry, Age 87, of Swissvale, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025. Born on June 22, 1937, in Greene County Pennsylvania. Marlene was the daughter of the late Herman and Velma Daugherty and the beloved wife of the late Howard E Terry, Jr.

Known affectionately to all as Marlene, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. A gifted seamstress, she worked from home, stitching not just fabric, but friendships, as she lovingly crafted clothing and alterations for neighbors, friends, and family. Marlene also had a nurturing spirit and was always ready to lend a hand by babysitting for the children in her neighborhood.

Marlene was mother to the late Louise Wolf, Patty Jones, Diane Orr, the late Mary Elizabeth Terry, Edward Terry, and Jennifer Terry. She was the cherished sister of James (the late Karen) Daugherty and preceded in death by Leroy (Joyce) Daugherty, Coral (Ed) Zolnar, and Sandy (Roy ) George.. She was grandmother to Marc, Christen, Scott, Brandon, Maria, Liva, Kaylen, Edward Jr., Bob, Mark, Jayna, David, Devon, Jennifer and Sam and leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Marlene's legacy is one of quiet strength, care, and selfless love. She created a home where everyone felt welcome, and her memory will be carried on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

Private arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA. Inurnment will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
