Evelyn Bernice Toll passed away peacefully in her home on October 1, 2025, at the remarkable age of 99.

Born on June 23, 1926, in South Bend, Indiana to Joseph and Verna Pyclik. Evelyn was a fiercely independent and modern woman ahead of her time. She raised three children on her own while working full-time, embodying resilience and grace.

Evelyn loved cooking for her beloved husband Willard Toll and her family. Sundays were often spent enjoying the meals she so lovingly prepared. Her dessert specialties-buckeyes, poppyseed cake, and apple pie remain unmatched to this day. She also had a passion for growing beautiful flowers, a love she passed on to her children.

An avid follower of politics, Evelyn relished lively debates. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, word finds, and cross stitching. A day did not go by without feeding the birds and filling the birdbath with water.

We were blessed to have her with us for nearly a century. Evelyn is survived by her three children, Gary Jones (Lynette Jones), Christine Wrobel, Judy Houston (Rick Houston), her caregiver Martin Resendez, her grandchild Amanda Vetor (Andy Vetor), and her great grandchildren Samantha and William Vetor.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Willard Toll who was the love of her life and her brother Richard Pyclik.

A private family service will be held at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel. Memorial donations may be made in Evelyn's name to Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
