Evelyn Warax Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kane Funeral Home - Sheridan on Mar. 22, 2024.
Evelyn Warax, 67 of Buffalo passed away March 21, 2024 at the Johnson County Health Care Center.

Our beloved Evelyn Bonnie Warax passed away March 21, 2024 in Buffalo Wyoming after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
A shining star in the lives of all who knew her, with a heart full of love and a spirit that soared, she left an undeniable mark on the world. As the oldest sibling, Evelyn was a guiding light, leading the way with her adventurous spirit, unwavering kindness, and unconditional love. Her infectious laughter, generosity of spirit, and boundless energy inspired us all to live life to the fullest. A talented cook, Evelyn was renowned for her potato salad, which was a welcome guest at every family get together and created cherished memories. In her years as a culinary expert at the hospital and nursing home I bet there wasn't a single patient or staff member that would complain about the meals she delivered.
Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared for her beloved pets, and her compassion extended to all living creatures from her pet rabbits to her many cats and her dog Luke.
Evelyn was a true gem, whose caring nature, empathetic ear, and selflessness made her an outstanding sister, friend, and confidante. Her presence lit up the room, and her absence will be deeply felt. As we say goodbye to Evelyn, we take comfort in the memories we shared, the lessons she taught us, and the love she showed us. Her legacy will live on in our hearts, and her light will continue to shine brightly, guiding us on our own life's journey.
Evelyn is survived by her four boys; Phillip (Codi) Hatzenbuhler, Greg Warax, Ed Warax, James Warax. Brothers Larry (Denise) Hatzenbuhler, Mark (Tracie) Hatzenbuhler, sisters Debby (Brad) Butler, and Donna Stuber. Grandkids include Tristin (Kallie) Bronson, Laryssa Almen, Kyla Hatzenbuhler, Kylie Vancamp, PJ Hatzenbuhler, Kaidyn Vancamp, and Madisyn Hatzenbuhler. Great grandkids; Kynadee Warax, EJ Warax, Joseph Warax, Greyson Tabbert, Chase Hays, Gunner Bronson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother Florence Hatzenbuhler, father Ed Hatzenbuhler and sister Vickie Hatzenbuhler.
