Everett Bell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, LLP - West 38th St. on Feb. 3, 2026.
Everett Nolan Bell was born on November 11, 2025 in Charlotte, North Carolina to his devoted parents, Tony and Christina Bell. On January 29th, 2026, Everett passed away after a brief battle with an aggressive and rare form of cancer. Though Everett's earthly life lasted only 11 weeks, its impact is everlasting. Now, he rests in eternal peace in Heaven.

Everett's time here was too short to reach the milestones every child deserves, but he experienced one thing fully and fiercely-love. He will be remembered for his love of mommy's nose kisses and late-night talks with Daddy, being sung to, his gentle coos and beautiful smile, watching his big brother lovingly keep an eye on him, quiet moments gazing at his favorite bunny, kicking with joy for Beckett, and sweet cuddles with Glamma. Everett was a blessing to his family and will always be remembered as their angel boy.

Everett touched hearts and reminded us all what truly matters. While many did not have the opportunity to create memories with Everett, they knew his journey-and through it, they felt something real. Everett stirred emotion, tenderness, and connection in people who never met him; reminding all who heard his story of the power of love, empathy, and the preciousness of life.

In addition to his parents and brother, Everett is lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Dave and Jill Bell, and Clyde and Lisa Berkheimer; his great-grandmother, Darcie Vargo; his aunts and uncles, Mike Bell, Erica Bell (AJ), Ryan Berkheimer, and Justin Berkheimer (Melissa); his cousins, Alonnah, Ava, Asher, and Julian; and a wide circle of family who loved him deeply.

Everett is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, James "Jimmy" Vargo, Ivan and Waneta Bell, Clyde and Betty Berkheimer, and Donald and Betty Root, as well as his cousins, Mikie Edinger Jr. and Jesse Preedit, both who also passed far too young.

A visitation will be held at Brugger Funeral Homes, 1595 W. 38th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16508, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning immediately thereafter at 4:00 p.m.

A memorial service will be held in Charlotte at a later date, once our hearts have had time to breathe.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Levine Children's Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Everett, and for the comfort and guidance extended to them throughout his journey.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in support of the LCH Child Life Program at AtriumHealthFoundation.org/tribute. Memorial gifts may also be mailed to Atrium Health Foundation, 7800 Providence Road, Suite 208, Charlotte, NC 28226, and should include "In memory of Everett Bell supporting LCH Child Life."
