Everett Wallace "Wally" Ellis Jr.

Everett Wallace "Wally" Ellis, Jr., 68, of Lake City, passed away peacefully in Tuesday morning, January 20, 2026 at his residence with his family by his side after a brief illness. He was born in Dublin, Georgia on October 30, 1957 to the Late Everett Wallace Ellis, Sr. and Evie Jean Rachels Ellis. He has made Lake City his home for over the last forty years and worked as a Procurement Forester and was a member of Christ Central in Lake City. God was first in Wally's life, and out of God's Love, he loved his family! He was an Elder as well as a teacher at Christ Central and he was currently serving as the President of His Heart Worldwide Ministries. In his spare time, Wally enjoyed fishing, hunting, especially turkey hunting, working in the yard with his wife, spending time with his granddaughter and grilling & Smoking meat.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 39 years, Sandra "Sandy" Ellis of Lake City; son, Joshua Ellis of Lake City; sister, Susan Ellis Lindsay (Steve) of St. Petersburg and his granddaughter, Karaline Avri Ellis of Lake City.
A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Ellis will be conducted on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. in Christ Central with Pastor Lonnie Johns officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Dublin, GA. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. at the church prior to the service.
