Robert G. "Bob" Ellis

Robert Gary Ellis, Age 81, of Novi, MI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Bob was born February 10, 1945 in Dearborn, MI, to the late William and Lois (Miller) Ellis.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather. He married Donna Jean Pichler on June 19, 1966. Donna and Bob spent 51 years of marriage, until Donna's passing in 2018. A Veteran, Bob proudly served (1966 to 1968) his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked for and retired from Ford Motor Company in 2006 with 40 years of service. In his retirement, Bob enjoyed his love of traveling with his wife, golf, fly fishing, and dogs.

Bob is survived by his son's Aaron and Todd, grandchildren, Alexis, Gabriella, Bianca, and his great grandson Asher. He is also survived by his brother David (Karen) Ellis, sister Patricia Ellis. His deceased sister Pamela Briggs.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, where funeral honors for Bob will be rendered. Please check the website for details about the service.
