Everett was born on May 30, 1953, in Winchester, VA, the son of the late Gaylon S. Harding Sr. and Donna Jean Tenney Harding. Everett was an avid hunter in which he was a member of the North American Hunting Club, a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and wrestling. He enjoyed tinkering with junk in his backyard, had a great sense of humor, and was a kindhearted man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Most of all Everett loved to be involved with his grandchildren.
Everett married Linda Orndorff on September 18, 1972, in Capon Bridge, WV.
Surviving with his wife of 53 years are four daughters: Melissa Carter of Keyser, WV (Ricky); Kim Steinemann (Shaun) of Romney, WV; Angie Heavner (Ronnie) of Augusta, WV; Donna Schneider (Bernie) of Clarkston, WA; two brothers: Gaylon S. Harding, Jr. of Augusta, WV; Kelly Harding of Slanesville, WV; two sisters: Floretta & Virginia Harding both of Augusta, WV; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by a daughter: Rebecca Harding; a brother: James "Frank" Harding; a sister: Rachel Stem; and his dog: Wiggles.
A funeral service will be held at Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM. Officiating will be Pastor Gary Smith.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Everett to the Hampshire Co. Animal Shelter, 155 Kerr Dr., Augusta, WV 26704.
