Scotty Allen Lee, 58, of Bloomery, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
He was Born on February 3, 1967, in Winchester, VA, he was the son of Judy Puffenberger LaFollette of Capon Bridge, West Virginia, and the late Richard G. "Dickie" Lee. Scotty was a crane operator and steel tier for Shockey Brothers Corporation in Winchester, Virginia. A 1985 graduate of Hampshire High School, he was an outstanding long-distance runner and cross-country athlete who was later inducted into the Hampshire Hall of Fame for his accomplishments.
A member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 137, in Capon Bridge, Scotty enjoyed a full life surrounded by friends and family. He loved hunting, fishing, playing softball, dirt track racing, and shooting pool. Most of all, Scotty cherished time spent with his friends and those he loved.
He was known for his famous "Scottyisms," including, "Let us all pray," "It's me, it's me, it's Scotty Lee," "listen Linda," "shake and bake" and calling himself "a perfect picture of health." His humor, kindness, and vibrant personality will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew him.
Along with his mother, Scotty is survived by his brother, Steve G. Lee and wife, Kim, of Capon Bridge, WV; nephews Josh, Jordan, and Trevor Lee; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He is also survived by his care partner and good friend, Julie Sheets and was preceded in death by his brother Richard T. "Richie" Lee.
A celebration of Scotty's life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the American Legion Post # 137, 35 Legion Dr, Capon Bridge, WV at 5:30 PM. A time of food and fellowship will immediately follow.
