Everett Kimble Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grace Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home - Hudson on Feb. 8, 2026.
Everett "Ike" Kimble, 91, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at the Dr. Jay Weil Center for Hospice Care in New Port Richey, Florida. Born in Sacramento, California, he was the son of Glen and Alice Kimble.

Ike proudly served in the United States Navy for four years, including service during the Korean War. One of his most memorable assignments was aboard the USS Brinkley Bass (DD887). After his military service, he married the love of his life, Ellen, and together they shared 27 wonderful years until her passing. Their bond was extraordinary, and she remained the center of his heart.

Ike was known for his unforgettable sense of humor. He loved making people laugh and had a natural talent for fixing anything he touched. Forever tinkering, he especially enjoyed exploring flea markets in search of unique "treasures."

Although he once claimed he never wanted a dog, Ike formed an instant and inseparable bond with his beloved companion, Moxie. Their connection became one of the great joys of his life.

He was a man of many simple pleasures-classic Westerns, John Wayne films, and war movies were among his favorites. More than anything, Ike cherished time with his family. He created countless memories on motorhome trips across the United States, visits to Disney, and weekly breakfasts he faithfully kept on the same day and at the same time. These traditions will remain treasures to those who loved him.

Humble, caring, and kind, Ike lived with quiet strength and unwavering devotion to his family.

He is survived by his children, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his siblings.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ellen; his brother, Walter; and his parents.

Everett "Ike" Kimble will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and the deep love he carried for his family. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched.
