Jean Ellen "Jeanie" Kimble

Jean (Jeanie) Ellen Cox Kimble of Weirton, WV, was residing at the Weirton Geriatric Center, passed from the loving arms of her family to the loving arms of Jesus on January 28, 2026 at the age of 82.

A daughter of the late John Benjamin Cox and Dorothy Mae Hartung Harris, Jean was on October 7, 1943 in Wheeling, WV.

In addition to her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Arthur Lee Harris; her brother, Jackie Johnson; her sisters, Margie Thomas, Dorothy Huffman, and her twin, Joan Kimble.

A homemaker, Jean cherished spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchild, family, and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, and line dancing with her sisters and crocheting gifts for her family. Jean worked for several years at Barney's Weir Cove Bakery.

She will be remembered with love by her daughter, Rachel Kimble-Evans of Weirton, grandchildren Megan Price of Steubenville, OH, Chandler (Brandi) Price of Steubenville, OH, great grandson Lucas Price and her sister Judy (Joe) Ellis of Martins Ferry, OH, as
well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV, where her funeral service will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday.

Pastor and brother-in-law, Joe Ellis will preside.

The family would like to thank the staff at Weirton Geriatric Center for the care and love she received in her short stay with them, as well as Valley Hospice for her end-of-life care.
