Everett Duane McClaran born June 28th, 1936 to George and Anita McClaran in Cement, Oklahoma, passed away on March 24th, 2025 at the age of 88. As a young boy he enjoyed tinkering on things and driving fast cars. Everett graduated from Madera High School class of 1954. He enlisted in the Us Army and shortly after, married the love of his life, Virginia (McKinney). Together they created a lovely life together, traveling, watching baseball, and looking out for one another. They had two children, Michael and Susan (Dawson) and one granddaughter, Kaylee (Dawson).
Upon his return from the army, he found himself working tirelessly on the McKinney farm. Everett was an integral part of operations and could be credited for many innovative solutions around the farm.
Whatever Everett set out to do, he did with perfection! From racing r/c cars to building hot rods, and antique restorations, to wood carving, his attention to detail could easily be seen. And if you ask his granddaughter Kaylee, he was the master maker of perfect airplane pancakes!
Everett was preceded in death by his parents Anita and George, sister Karen (Harbart), niece, Renay Weis, and wife of 66 years, Virginia (Mckinney). He is survived by his son Michael and his wife Kelly, daughter Susan and her husband Bobby and granddaughter Kaylee Dawson.
A private service will be held at Jays Chapel for family only, per Everetts request. Memorial contributions may be made to, Friends of Madera Animal Shelter P.O Box 923, Madera, Ca. 93639 or a charity of the donors choice.
