Everette Carson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kale Funeral Home - Osceola on Mar. 16, 2026.
Everette Charles Carson, son of Orville Leo and Amelia May (Cochran) Carson was born May 15, 1934, in Clarke County, Iowa and passed away March 15, 2026, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at 91 years.

Everette grew up on a farm south of Murray, IA. He attended Lone Oak, Ward #5, Ward #6, and Doyle #1 through his elementary school years. He graduated in the spring of 1952 from Murray High School. After graduation he worked for the Clarke County Engineer's office. He was engaged to Lola Jeanne Webb in December of 1954, and they were married April 10, 1955, in Osceola, IA. Lola and Everette moved to Des Moines in the fall of 1956 and then to Johnston in 1962. They raised sons, Steven, Brian and Dennis. Everette worked for Midwest Gas as a crew supervisor and retired after 35 years. He served as a Boy Scout leader and spent time fishing, hunting and camping. They loved attending all of their grandchildren's many activities. After retirement they wintered in Texas and enjoyed attending music jams. Hopeville Rural Music Reunion and the Pioneer Hall at the Iowa State Fair were among their favorites. Lola would sing and play her guitar, and Everette would play his fiddle.

Those relatives who preceded Everette in death were his wife, Lola Jeanne Carson in December of 2020, having celebrated 65 years of marriage; his parents Orville and Amelia Carson; sister and her husband Phyllis (Robert) Wolf; sister-in-law Beverly Carson; father-in-law and mother-in-law John Jeptha and Juanita Webb; brothers-in-law James Webb, John Webb and his wife Betty; sister-in-law and her husband Wilma (Larry) Helms.
