EVERLY JOY YODER, age 5, danced into the arms of Jesus at 9:16 A.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Services celebrating Everly’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Windsor Road Christian Church, 2501 West Windsor Road in Champaign, IL. Pastor Randall Boltinghouse will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In honor of the joy Everly brought to this world, those who attend are encouraged to wear bright colors.
Everly was born on November 12, 2018, in Urbana, IL, an adored daughter of Adam Christopher and Hayley Chantel (Harshman) Yoder.
She is survived by her parents, Adam and Hayley Yoder of Savoy, IL, three siblings, Noah, Eli, and Ellie all at home; paternal grandparents, Larry and Pat Yoder; maternal grandparents, Keith and Cindy Harshman; maternal great-grandmother, Phyllis Harshman all of Sullivan, IL; four uncles, Greg (Jennifer) Yoder of Sullivan, IL, Eric (Temmy) Yoder of New York City, NY, Curt (Kaylee) Yoder of Shelbyville, and Nathan (Carrie) Harshman of Sullivan, IL; one aunt, Heidi (Chris) Davis of Sullivan, IL; some very special cousins, Levi and Lexi Yoder both of Sullivan, IL, Collin and Natalie Yoder both of Shelbyville, IL, Noah, Evan, and Graham Davis, and Grace and Hank Harshman all of Sullivan, IL; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Warren and Rosella Suhl and Hal Harshman, and her paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Barbara Conlin, and Adlai and Lena Yoder.
Everly’s family has attended Windsor Road Christian Church in Champaign, IL, for the past 10 years. Everly loved school and attended pre-school at My Morning Out in Champaign, IL. She also attended dance school at Art In Motion Dance Studio in Champaign.
Named appropriately, Everly Joy brought joy to everyone who knew her. She could light up a room with a twirl and a giggle and loved her family fiercely. She had a vivid imagination and loved to dress up in her princess dresses. She was a natural born leader, and the best sister to her siblings. She insisted on daily goodbye kisses from her daddy and was an answer to her mama’s prayers. Most importantly, Evy loved Jesus with all her heart, and loved singing her Jesus songs. Everly loved being at home with her family, and we know this is nothing compared to the joy she is experiencing in her Heavenly Home.
“So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” John 16:22
