Evona Marie Moats, 65, of Aurora, passed on April 7, 2024, at Peace Healthcare at Dennett Road. Born on October 9, 1958, in Elkins, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mazie Collins.
Evona was a proud wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. She loved spending time outdoors, caring for her garden of flowers, and reading. She had a special place in her heart for her pets and she dearly cherished time spent with her family.
She is survived by three children, Joshua Moats and wife Regina, Wendy Crossland husband Phil, and Dayton Moats and wife Cat; three grandchildren, Aspen and Nicholas Crossland, and Andrew Moats; and three siblings, Stanley Collins, Jr., Timothy Collins, and Dwayne Collins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Stanley Moats; a son, Nathan Moats; and two siblings, Misty Collins and Raymond Collins.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, 567 Thomas Avenue Davis, WV. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM with Pastor Wally Weeks officiating. Interment will be private in the Aurora Cemetery.
