Ewell Donald "Don" Haggett, Sr., 87, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Worcester, Massachusetts.


Born on October 1, 1937, Don lived a life marked by hard work and dedication. Throughout his career, he served as a truck driver for a cider mill and woodworking business. His commitment to his community was evident through his work with the Phillipston Fire Department and Highway Department. Later, he continued to apply his skills as a woodshop worker, demonstrating craftsmanship and perseverance.

Family was central to Don’s life. He is lovingly remembered by his son Steven Sr. And his wife Kathryn Haggett and Garrett Haggett and his wife Angela Haggett; his daughter Kathleen Haggett; grandsons Steven Jr. and Jamie Haggett; great-granddaughter Caitlyn Haggett; and great-grandson Jaxon Haggett. He also leaves behind his brother Sherman Haggett and sisters Rita and Joanne Haggett, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

Don was predeceased by his beloved wife Hazel (Whitney) Haggett; sons Ewell Donald Haggett Jr. and James Haggett; father Francis Haggett; mother Doris (Ordway) Haggett; and brothers Melvin Haggett, Lawrence Haggett, Edward Haggett, and Herman Haggett.In addition to his professional endeavors, Don found joy in simple pleasures such as watching the Boston celtics and Redsoxs, bowling and bingo. These hobbies brought him camaraderie and happiness throughout the years

.A graveside service and celebration of life honoring Don’s life will be held at a later date for family and friends to gather in remembrance.May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
