Ezra Alvarez "Ezy" 16, of Derry, NH passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
He was born on April 14, 2006 in Baldwin Park, California. He spent the first few years of his life in Montebello, CA. Ezra and his family later moved to Utah, where he found his passion and love for football. Ez, started playing tackle football at the age of 8 years old. He was part of many teams, including Copper Hills, Brighton High, A-game Elite, and Utah Pioneers. On these teams, is where he formed many bonds with both players and coaches that impacted him on and off the field. Ez proudly played both sides of the ball and even though he was small, he was mighty. Ez put in countless number of hours on and off the field to perfect his craft. Ez proudly attended the Utah Military academy, where he learned many leadership qualities and developed long lasting friendships. He had many teachers that supported him throughout his time there that he continued to keep in contact after he moved. It wasn't until last year that the family made their home in Derry, NH and Ezra began attending Pinkerton Academy. Ezra proudly wore #6, as a defensive starter, for the Pinkerton Academy Astros Football Team. In his spare time, he enjoyed building Star Wars Lego sets, playing video games, and working out. He also enjoyed playing flag football, as well as competing in 7v7's. His expansive knowledge of sports statistics couldn't be questioned. Ezy perfected the art of annoyance, and no one knows this better than his older sister, who he loved to tease daily.
Ezy will be remembered as a smart, caring, and kind young man. His friends have said they loved his laugh and sense of humor. He was always the one to check in on those around him. He will forever be incredibly missed by those whose lives he's touched.
He is survived by his loving parents, Tiffany Baker and Daniel Marshall; his sister, Jordan Alvarez; his grandmother, Sally Gutierrez; his aunt, Brenda Ramirez; his cousins, Benjamin, JW, and Thomas Ramirez; his great-grandfather, Raymond Gutierrez; many aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as his football coaches and brothers on and off the field.
Services will be announced at a later date.

Ezra was such a great person with a great mindset on winning and always being the best at what he was doing. Ezra was a great friend and teammate to everyone around him. He would always lift up his teammates if they needed a hand, or if they needed help with anything. I personally didn´t know Ezra that well, or get a real chance to become better friends with him after he moved schools. I knew him when he played football for copper hills and I would always hear people talking about him and always mentioning his name. From what I knew of Ezra he was someone who wouldn´t ever go down without a fight. He was strong and very fast for his size, and he was amazing on the football field. May Ezra rest in peace, and may he rest in paradise. Me and my family are sending thoughts and prayers to the Alvarez family during this hard time. May god bless their family.

I met Ezra at work, and as soon as we started talking we instantly clicked. He became a best friend of mine. He always had a positive vibe to him, he had a beautiful soul. There was never a time when I didn´t want to be around him. He always checked up on me to make sure I was okay, and would reach out to me on the phone after our shift together to talk and make it known that he was there for me. He was so selfless, such a sweetheart. I have been so heartbroken ever since his passing, I truly loved him so much. May your wonderful soul and spirit rest peacefully sweet boy.

Our family lost 16yo Christian this time last year and the boys had alot in common. Let us think they have found eachother and will be forever friends. God Bless Ezra and his Family
