F. Michael “Mike” Spoon, 86, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was born in Guilford County on September 9, 1938 to the late Carl Michael and Ruth Evelyn Staley Spoon. He was the Husband of 32 years to Patricia “Trish” Lewis Spoon who survives.
Mike retired as a long-distance truck driver and was a US Army veteran serving during peacetime. Mike attended Powerline Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, listening to soft rock and country music. Mike had a great since of humor and enjoyed being with family especially his grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Patricia “Trish” Spoon of the home; sons, Michael Ragan ( Laura) of Burlington, Charles (Susana) Ragan of Elon and Richard Ragan of Alexandria, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jordan Ragan and fiancé Savana, and Chris Ragan (MaeKenna); a great grandson, William “Will” Lewis Ragan; his brother, Joe Frank Spoon of Burlington; brothers-in-law, Wayne Lewis ( Deborah ) and Charles Lewis ( Barb); a nephew, Nathan Spoon; and nieces, Morgan Vila (Eddie), and Kendal Fogleman (Wes).
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 4-6PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory to celebrate Mike’s life and other times the family will be at the residence.
