It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Fabian Fletcher Milburn, Sr. On November 18, 2025, Mr. Milburn peacefully ascended to rest, just shy of his 92nd birthday.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 7, 1934, Mr. Milburn is the son of Helen Theresa Milburn (née Fletcher) and Fabian Augustine Milburn, both lifelong Philadelphians and patrons of the arts. Mr. Milburn’s life was defined by a profound commitment to his country, community, and family. His career reflected a strong commitment to public service and national security. After serving with high honors in the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Milburn continued to serve in critical roles with the Department of Defense, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and the National Security Agency. Spanning more than two decades, his international assignments included Greece, Japan, Taiwan, and the Philippines.

Following a career in international service, Mr. Milburn and his family settled into a vibrant community life in suburban Maryland. A man of deep faith, he became a dedicated member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Odenton, Maryland and was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus.

His commitment to service extended beyond his career. Fabian was also a member of the masonic family, ascending to prominent roles within the organization. He was a member of William T. Wallace Lodge #134, Severna Park, Maryland, under the auspices of The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Maryland, PHA; he was also a member of Hiram Consistory #2, PHA, Scottish Rite Masonry, Baltimore, Maryland, under the auspices of United Supreme Council Southern Jurisdiction; and is the Past Potentate of Jerusalem Temple #4, Oasis of Baltimore, Desert of Maryland, under the auspices of A.E.A.O.N.M.S. of North and South America, PHA and its Jurisdictions. Mr. Milburn was also the Noble Advisor to Jerusalem Court #1 and the Desert of Maryland Daughters.

In addition to being a devoted father and loving husband to his cherished wife, Viola, together Fabian and Viola were well known for their significant philanthropic endeavors and education initiatives, specifically providing vital funding for the educational needs of students in Haiti. Their goal was to uplift those who needed help and provide support to members of the community who required their assistance.

Fabian Milburn, Sr. is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and David Brown, of Severn, Maryland; his son, Fabian Jr., of Annapolis, Maryland; his sister, Audrey Patrick, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his sister, Theresa Milburn, of Brooklyn New York; his sister-in-law, Ora Manigault, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and his sister-in-law, Anna Mae Manigault, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his Goddaughter, nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as family and friends he amassed during his global travels. He is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Viola; his parents, Helen Theresa and Fabian Augustine Milburn, his sister, Marsha Milburn, and his brothers, Bernard and Alvin Milburn. Mr. Milburn’s legacy of integrity, service, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him.
