Robert "Bob" W. Dallas of Linthicum passed away at the age of 83, living and dying on his own terms. Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Bob lived most of his life in Maryland. He spent 44 years working on the railroad, a job he had no special love for, but that provided well for his family. A handyman, he worked part-time installing windows, doors, and aluminum siding. Most of our childhood home was adorned with aluminum, inside and out. Bob lived a quiet, solitary life by choice, preferring his own company and the comfort of his routines. A private man, he sought solitude and didn't seek out companionship or social circles.
He is survived by his two children, Derick Dallas and Donna Dallas, who remember him in their own ways and hold onto the life he lived on his own terms. Even after their lives had taken separate paths, his former wife Wanda remained a quiet presence of grace and kindness, preparing meals and looking after him in ways he never knew.
Rest now dad. We hope you find the peace and joy in the next world that eluded you in this one.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services.
