Fannie McElroy

Fannie McElroy, 82, passed away on October 02, 2025 at 7:02 pm at in Magnolia, AR. Fannie was born on May 10, 1943 in Magnolia, AR to parents Earnest McBride and Vera Easter. Fannie was a caring and hard-working woman who devoted over 40 years to caring for others as a nursing assistant. Additionally, Fannie was a member of the Mt. Israel CME Church in the Atlanta Community.
She was preceded in death by her spouse, Abrom "Pete" McElroy, son, James Zell Hunter, two stepdaughters, Beatrice Ewing and Lois James; one brother, Jimmy Easter and one sister, Ruby Manning.
Fannie is survived by two sons: Willie A Hunter and Arthur L Hunter; two daughters: Shirley Berry and Marquite Thorpe and a host of grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home from noon until 4 p.m on Friday, October 10..A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11, at 11 a.m. in the Henderson Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery, 1032 Lynn Fite Rd, El Dorado, AR.
