Funeral Services for Fannie May Murphy are Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Burial is at Carroll Memorial Garden McKenzie.
Mrs. Murphy, 91 years old, a retired loan officer died Saturday at NHC of Dickson. She was born in McKenzie on June 21, 1932, to Lonnie and Alma Williams Akers.
She is survived by her husband Arnold Murphy of Dickson, daughter Nancy Evans of Nashville, son Kenneth Murphy and daughter in law Vickie of Old Hickory, TN, sister Linda Sue Climer of Jefferson, NC, one step-daughter Sharon Weiland of Gallatin, TN, step-son Billy Murphy of Gallatin, three grandchildren Shelby Murphy, Delaney Murphy, Tyler Murphy and step-granddaughter Dr. Katrina Weiland and four great-grandchildren Mahki Murphy, Anna Leigh Murphy, Everly Murphy and Emelia Murphy.
She is preceded in death by her twin sister Annie Faye Cook, sister Bertha Martin and brothers Curtis Akers and Lonnie Aker, Jr.
