Fay D. Cooley
Fay Dixon Cooley, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Ascension St. Thomas-Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.
Born December 16, 1937 in Spartanburg, SC., she was a daughter of the late Walt Dixon and Grace Eppley Dixon and was a former employee with Block Drug Company.
Surviving is her son, Lynn Cooley of Chesnee; daughters, Shelly Cooley Mauney of Lauderdale by The Sea, FL., Starr Cooley Taylor of Rockvale, TN.; grandchildren, Kristopher Taylor, Trey Taylor, Haley Edgett, Matthew Edgett, Amber Cooley, Kasey Mauney (Megan Smith Mauney), Ben Cooley, Anna Kate Cooley and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Johnny Cooley; sisters, Beth White, Margaret Ervin, Maye Collins and brothers, Alvin Dixon and Walter “Dub” Dixon.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Harris-Nadeau Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Harris-Nadeau Mortuary with Reverend Preston Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Memorial Gardens.
